The
Robertson Trust
The Robertson Trust
was established by the Miss Robertson sisters in May 1961. Today, the
Trust controls The Edrington Group which now owns the well known brands
of Scotch Whisky: The Famous Grouse, The Macallan and Highland Park.
The Trust Deed had two main objectives: the first to ensure that the company
remained independent and the second to ensure that dividend income from
the shares would be given to charitable purposes.
MAKING AN APPLICATION
The Robertson Trust aims to be a flexible and helpful
funder that builds relationships with the organisations we fund. We have
a small staff team who work hard to provide the support required by charities
that wish to make applications. We recognise that charities are often
dealing with complex issues and we try to provide as much advice and support
as we can in addition to donations. We are always happy to answer telephone
and e-mail enquiries and to give pre-application support as appropriate.
We will only meet with potential applicants once we have received an application.
The four priority areas are now Care, Health, Education and Training and
Community Art and Sport.
Full guidelines and the Organisation Information Sheet can be downloaded
in Word or PDF format on the navigation to the left.

New Awards For All
Launch of our new and improved Awards for All small grants
programme.
This popular Lottery scheme - now involving the Big Lottery Fund, sportscotland
and the Scottish Arts Council - will continue to make awards of between
£500 and £10,000 to grass-roots groups in the community and
voluntary sector, health bodies, schools and statutory bodies.
To coincide with today’s relaunch a new application form is available,
which can, for the first time, be download electronically and emailed
direct to Awards for All Scotland. Groups should be aware that Awards
for All will no longer accept the old application materials.
We have four new outcomes for Awards for All, which each project should
contribute towards. These are:
* People have better chances in life
* Communities are safer, stronger and more able to work together to tackle
inequalities
* People have better and more sustainable services and environments
* People and Communities are healthier
To find out more about the new programme, including case studies, new
priorities as well as the new guidance and applications materials, please
visit the new Awards for All at

Alert!
Voluntary Sector Partnership Moray
(Formerly known as the Voluntary Sector Forum)
You may remember that last year we sent out a questionnaire about setting up a Voluntary Sector Forum in Moray. The Forum is about the voluntary and community sector working together by facilitating networking between its members so that they share experience, expertise, resources and good practice in order to respond collectively to issues affecting Moray. Since then MVSO, the Volunteer Centre Moray and others have been working hard to progress the idea. As the VSPM idea has developed over the last few months, it was decided that a further mandate from the voluntary and community sector (YOU!) in Moray is required at this point.
This is to let you know that we will be sending out further information in booklet form asking for your views in the next couple of months. The booklet contains a reply form for you to send us your response to a couple of questions. When you receive the information, we would be very grateful if you would take the time to send us your feedback in the prepaid envelope supplied. Your participation is extremely important as one of the main aims of the Voluntary Sector Partnership Moray (VSPM) is to ensure that the voluntary and community sector perspective is included alongside the public and private sectors when decisions are made which affect the people who live in Moray.
Make sure that your group plays a part in maintaining a diverse and vibrant community and voluntary sector which can help shape the future of Moray!
